Should I get my fridges and freezers regularly serviced?

Most definitely!  Commercial fridges and freezers need to be maintained otherwise they will fail.
Blocked condensers are a main cause of fridge breakdowns.  In turn, the compressor will eventually fail due to a blocked condenser.
Leaks in the system will also cause a fridge or freezer not to get cold enough, as the gas inside the system used for the cooling process is lost through the hole.
Thermostats and controllers which regulate the temperature inside the appliance, can also fail, as can various fan motors.
